A 23-year-old Chisinau man has been prosecuted for carrying out cyber attacks on the servers of the websites sports.md and fcolimpia.md, which he administrated in the past, Info-Prim Neo reports. Prosecutor Veaceslav Soltan told a news conference on Tuesday the most likely reason was that the man's employer had failed to pay the administrator his salary on time. On October 8, the suspect destroyed information contained on the servers concerning the history of sports in Moldova, including video recordings and pictures taken in the last 100 years, personal data of the employees, clients and owners of the sites. The damage was estimated at 1.7 million lei. If found guilty, the man could serve from 3 to 5 years in prison.
