A number of apartment buildings in the capital city risk being disconnected from the water supply owing to dwellers’ historical debts for water. SA “Apa-Canal Chisinau” (ACC) has announced that on March 19 it restarted disconnecting the buildings with debts, IPN reports.
The company’s director general Constantin Becciev said there are a number of apartment buildings that made no payments for water so far this year. They are situated on the streets Ion Creanga, Aba Iulia, Calea Iesilor, Sucevita, Lisabona, and Ion Radu.
According to Constantin Becciev, the managers of the blocks with debts had been warned, but the situation didn’t change. If they do not honor their obligations, the supplier will sue them so as to recover the money. In most of the cases, the debts are considerable. The block located on Calea Iesilor St accumulated debts of over 62,000 lei, while the two buildings from Alba Iulia St of about 64,000 lei and, respectively, over 165,000 lei.
Until present, the supplier issued over 400 prescriptions over historical debts of 106 million lei.
