The Chisinau City Hall asks the citizens to state their opinions about the Christmas tree that is to be placed downtown before the winter holidays. Such a decision was taken in connection with the heated public discussions on the issue the previous years, IPN reports.

An opinion poll on the subject will be staged through the official Facebook page of the Chisinau City Hall during October 5-15. The citizens are invited to answer the following question: “What kind of tree should be set up on the Great National Assembly Square for the winter holidays – natural or artificial.”

The citizens can also pronounce on the issue through the email address primaria@pmc.md, also by October 15.  

A final decisions will be taken depending on the results of the opinion poll and the proposals formulated by citizens. The Christmas tree in the center of Chisinau will be inaugurated on December 1, 2018.
