Civic Fest to take place simultaneously with Festival “Gustar”

Civic Fest 2016 will celebrate the Civil Society Days concurrently with the International Music Festival “Gustar”. On August 6-7 and September 23, the fourth Civic Fest will bring together the most active NGOs, projects worth being followed and partners to a civil dialogue and exchange of good practices and innovative ideas, IPN reports.

On August 6-7, Civic Fest will take place in Furceni, the National Park Orhei, in a special format that will involve successful projects and generous partners. The participants will be entertained by art exhibitions and concerts, workshops and exhibitions of handmade objects, civic activities and the Fair of NGOs.

The head of the public association “Synergetica Eur/Est” Tudor Stefan, the founder of the Civic Fest Festival, said that this year Civic Fest offers more opportunities of involvement and participation to representatives of civil society. The most successful projects and accomplishments in such areas as entrepreneurship and social integration, the women’s participation in decision-making and representative posts, ensuring and promotion of a transparent and democratic electoral process and the participation of young people in local development will be presented at the National Museum of Arts in Chisinau on September 23.

The representatives of NGOs that want to present their project, success story, creative workshop, civil activity, flashmob event or an exhibition of accomplishments within Civic Fest 2016 can register preliminarily by the email address office@civicfest.md by presenting the required data (name, organization, activity) by July 29 for August 6-7 and by September 16 for September 23.

Civic Fest 2016 is organized and held by the public association “Synergetica Eur/Est” with the assistance of East Europe Foundation, with the resources provided by the Government of Sweden and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Denmark/DANIDA, in partnership with the Music Festival “Gustar”, the social enterprise “Floare de Cires”, the association “Eco-Razeni”, the Academy “Nicolae Dumitrescu”, YouthBank Moldova, the National Youth Center “iYoung “ and the National Museum of Arts.

On August 6-7, Civic Fest 2016 will be held in Furceni, the National Park Orhei, between 11am and 4pm, while on September 23 – at the National Museum of Arts in Chisinau, between 9am and 6pm.
