Coliform bacteria were found in the kvass of SC “Alpitacom” SRL that is sold on the streets of Chisinau, as a result of inspections. The producer was banned from working. A number of traders didn’t have authorizations for placing kvass stalls and selling the drink, IPN reports.

According to a communiqué from the National Consumer Protection Agency, the Agency’s inspectors penalized the vendors who could not present documents showing the origin and quality of the kvass and for not issuing sales slips. They ordered withdrawing the kvass without the required documents from sale.

The National Consumer Protection Agency informed the Ministry of the Interior, the State Main Tax Inspectorate and the Chisinau Municipal Council about these cases so that they take steps.
