“Come on, Moldova!” project launched in Straseni
The project “Come on, Moldova!” on Friday was rolled out in Straseni under the slogan “No Kisses until We Clean up!”, Info-Prim Neo reports.
“The project’s team in Straseni consists of young people. They made an advertisement that is available on the Internet,” said Maxim Culacov, project coordinator in charge of regional development.
The district and local authorities were invited to the event to discuss the possibility of cooperating within the project.
A number of 21 NGOs, seven youth organizations, five universities, seven schools, seven state institutions, the Chisinau City Hall, the Government, the Ministry of Youth and Sport, the Ministry of Transport and Road Infrastructure, the Ministry of the Environment, and the Ministry of Defense have become involved in the cleanup activities so far. Five districts, five TV channels, seven radio stations, the Independent Journalism Center and 35 private companies confirmed their participation in the campaign.
For the first time, such a type of project was launched in Estonia in 2008. Similar projects were later implemented in Latvia, Lithuania, Slovenia, Finland, Portugal, Italy, India, Ukraine, Romania, Brazil, and Serbia.
