More than 178,000 people had the opportunity to receive compensated medicines and medical devices in October. In this regard, the National Health Insurance Company (CNAM) transferred over 107 million lei to pharmacies in the Republic of Moldova, IPN reports.
"Most of the money went on the treatment of circulatory system diseases – about 57 million lei for 122,000 patients. Another 24 million lei went on preparations for endocrine, nutrition and metabolic disorders for 46,000 patients," reads a CNAM press release.
CNAM specialists inform that the average cost of compensated drugs was 603 lei for one person. The most expensive treatment with compensated drugs was for nervous system diseases, with an average cost of 1,140 lei per patient.
As many as 23,000 people benefited from compensated medical devices to the value of 6.4 million lei.
The e-prescription can be issued by any doctor, including emergency physicians and those who provide community or home care services. At the pharmacy, citizens can receive compensated medicines or medical devices only by presenting their identity card.
