The Embassy of Poland in Moldova invites to a concert by the National Chamber Orchestra of Moldova that will involve Polish musicians. It is given on the occasion of Poland’s Constitution Day at the Organ Hall in Chisinau on April 30, starting at 6pm. Entrance is free of charge, IPN reports.
The program of the concert includes “Portret Warszawy” by Grzegorz Duchnowski, “Serenada na smyczki” by Mieczysław Karłowicz, “Oneiros - Violin concerto” by Dariusz Przybylski and “Ballad for violin and orchestra” by Eugen Doga. Soloist Patrycja Piekutowska will play the violin, while conductor Monika Wolińska will direct the performance.
The Embassy of Poland in Chisinau annually stages events on the occasion of the Constitution Day that is marked on May 3.
The Polish Constitution adopted on May 3, 1791 is considered the first national constitution of the modern world in Europe and the second constitution in the world after the Constitution of the United States. The Constitution of May 3, 1791 was adopted as a Governmental Act (in Polish ‘Ustawa rządowa’) by the Sejm (Parliament) of the Polish-Lithuanian Union.
