The construction works on the road that connects Vaduleni and Vadul lui Voda will cost the municipal budget 4.8 million lei. The works have started this week. Until spring, the road will be flattened and covered with gravel. Afterward, the road will be asphalted, the municipal authorities say. “This sum is rather large, but the problem is serious and more important than the repair of segments of road elsewhere,” Mayor of Chisinau Dorin Chirtoaca said after making a field visit. The road is 800 meters long. The works are carried out by SA Edilitate. The people in the village repeatedly complained to the municipal authorities that the access road to Vadul lui Voda, where they go the clinic and the children to the school, is seriously damaged and becomes impassable when it rains, a communiqué from the Chisinau City Hall says. Vaduleni forms part of Budesti commune. But the children in Vaduleni go to the school in Vadul lui Voda. The administrative unit Vaduleni is to become part of Vadul lui Voda town soon, as the villagers decided at the last general assembly.
