The Ministry of Youth and Sport has announced a contest to choose the National Youth Capital 2017. Applications can be submitted by October 31, 2016, IPN reports.

The contest is intended for the local public authorities of the first level, except for the municipality of Chisinau and the towns Ialoveni and Sangerei, which had been Youth Capitals during the last two years.

The applicants must present an application form and written proof from the local public authorities of the first level showing that the public institutions will provide support, including financial one, in staging activities. The inclusion of the activities planned to be held in the National Youth Capital in the Local and National Youth Strategy will be welcome.

The winner will get financial and logistic support from the central public authorities. The Ministry of Youth and Sport will provide 1 million lei in assistance.
