About 550 mobile phones and 530 shivs have been found and withdrawn from jails after checkups during quarter 1 of this year, Info-Prim Neo has learnt from the Penal Reforms Institute (PRI). According to the Penitentiary Institutions Department, the guards also found a total of 250 liters of alcoholic drinks. In addition, they also lift about 1,600 mg of drugs. During the same period, 60 people have been arrested for attempting to introduce banned objects and substances into jails, and namely 46 mobile phones, 148 liters of alcoholic drinks and 550 g of narcotics.
