Criuleni fights flood consequences
Criuleni authorities, fire fighters and rescuers from the Commission for Local Emergencies, are all engaged in fighting the consequences of disastrous floods in Criuleni district. The actions are complex demonstrative exercises for checking the civil protection situation in the district.
Press officer of the Civil Protection and Emergencies Service Liliana Puscasu told Info-Prim Neo that 9 localities in Criuleni can be stricken by floods with catastrophic consequences. The goal of this exercise is to verify the preparation state of the administration bodies of villages, towns or companies.
Officials from the district’s 25 town halls were involved in the exercises. They had to show their abilities to evacuate the people affected by the disaster, to strengthen protection dams, to extinguish fires, to stop gas leaks, to localize the rabies sources and to provide the medical first aid.
According to the representative of the Civil Protection and Emergencies Service, the demonstrative exercises are the final stage of verification of the civil protection situation in Criuleni district, which took place for two days. Exercises of such level are organized once in five years.
