Famous tango and modern ballet dancers Karin Brennan and Eric Miot will perform on the stage of the National Opera House “Maria Biesu” in Chisinau on September 13, starting at 4pm, IPN reports.
National Opera House director Valeria Seican told a news conference that the dancers were invited to Moldova within the International Opera and Ballet Stars Festival “Maria Biesu”. “This concert is the product of the nice cooperation relations we established with the Embassy of Germany,” she stated.
The tickets were already sold, but there will be created additional paces for more people to be able to see the performance. Prices vary between 50 and 300 lei. “It is a special occasion, especially for ballet lovers, for seeing a modern ballet performance. By it we bring again Europe at home and confirm our course to European integration,” stated Valeria Seican.
Karin Brennan, who was born in Argentine, and Eric Miot, from France, have danced together in Germany for over five years. Recently they opened a dancing school in Hamburg.
German Ambassador in Chisinau Matthias Meyer told the same news conference that it was recently 50 years of the signing of an agreement of friendship between Germany and France and this event is another reason for which Karin Brennan and Eric Miot were invited to Chisinau. “We want to show that we are cultural nations. We will present such concerts in a number of third countries,” he stated.
A similar performance will be organized for the ballet lovers from northern Moldova. It will take place in Balti on September 14, starting at 6pm.
