The Rascani Prosecutor’s Office officially charged the director of the Chisinau restaurant where several dozen people poisoned themselves at a wedding party on September 6 and asked that he be put under house arrest for 30 days, IPN reports.

According to a communiqué from the Prosecutor General’s Office, the director is accused of keeping, selling and providing unsafe products and services that caused the death of a person.

Several dozen people were admitted to the hospital with food poisoning after that wedding party. A 38-year-old man from Ungheni died. At a wedding party in the same restaurant on August 31, another 50 persons poisoned themselves, including Minister of Education Maia Sandu.
