A lieutenant-colonel in reserve working as a doctor at the Chisinau Military Center was arrested by officers of the Anticorruption Center on suspicion that he asked for €250 for declaring a young man unfit for military service, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting a communiqué from the Center. €150 marked ‘bribe’ was found in the doctor’s office during the arrest. The €100 given earlier was yielded up voluntarily during a home search. The doctor faces a fine of 20 000 to 60 000 lei or two to six years in jail for traffic of influence. The man admitted his guilt and is investigated outside prison.
