The court partially admitted the prosecutors’ request and issued a warrant to place Mayor General of Chisinau Dorin Chirtoaca under house arrest for 30 days. The decision was passed by the Buiucani Court in the evening of May 26, IPN reports.

The prosecutors asked to charge the mayor and to hold him on remand.

Dorin Chirtoaca was arrested by anticorruption prosecutors and officers of the National Anticorruption Center on charges of influence peddling in the evening of May 25.
