Eight children from socially deprived families go to summer camp in Bulgaria

Eight children from socially disadvantaged families from Stefan Voda and Causeni districts and from Chisinau will go to rest at the summer camp “Sparta” that last year was opened in Bulgaria, IPN reports.

According to a press release of the organizers, by 80 children from boarding schools and socially deprived families of Moldova had rested annually during 18 years at the summer camp “Sparta” that until 2014 was staged in Crimea. Given the situation in Ukraine, last year the camp was organized in Bulgaria. The eight children will spend 14 days there, starting with August 10.

“I want to go to the seaside to see the sea. For me the sea is something unusual. I didn’t have the possibility of going somewhere to vacation. For me this is a great occasion as I only heard about the sea, but didn’t see it,” said one of the children.

“I would like to make new friends, to feel comfortable and to exchange opinions with other children in a similar situation. I would like to gain more confidence and to acquire skills needed in life,” said a girl.
