An elderly woman from Budesti village, Chisinau Municipality, was shot while gardening in front of her house. An underage boy from the commune was found to be guilty of the incident. According to the National Center for Emergency Medicine, the paramedics found the woman with a bullet wound to her left cheek. She was lucky that the bullet ricocheted before hitting her. The woman is hospitalized for investigations and treatment. Spokesman of the General Police Commissariat Adrian Jovmir told Info-Prim Neo that the shooter was identified. He is an 11 year old boy from the locality who shot from an air pistol. He told the police that he wanted to shoot a sparrow and had no intention of hurting the woman. The pneumatic gun belongs to the family. According to the police, no license is required to own such guns. Most likely, the child’s parents will face an administrative sanction. The incident happened on Wednesday, October 31.
