In the village of Ceadir, Leova rayon, the local secondary school has been modernized by installing 31 photovoltaic panels on the roof of the institution. The project, implemented through the National Program "European Village Express", will reduce electricity costs by 50% and provide a comfortable environment for 210 students and 45 employees of the gymnasium, IPN reports.

Ceadir has also benefited from other improvements under the "European Village" program. Under the first edition, a project was implemented to provide access to centralized sanitation for 200 households, the gymnasium and kindergarten in the village. A sewage treatment plant was built, which, according to the authorities, has improved the living and health conditions of the villagers.

In the second phase of the European Village program, the renovation of the Ceadir village hall will continue, the first major repair of the building since 1986. The work, which started at the end of March, includes insulating the exterior walls, restoring the interior and upgrading the electricity system. The town hall building will eventually house the village post office and public library.
