The Embassy of Romania in Moldova organizes a series of events on the occasion of the Armed Forces Day of Romania in a number of Moldovan villages on October 23 – 25, IPN reports.
Within the events, Romania’s Ambassador in Chisinau Marius Lazurca, representatives of the Ministry of Defense of Moldova and of the local authorities will make speeches. The military attaché of the Embassy of Romania, Colonel Dumitru Neacsu will give the opening speech.
The first event will take place at the parcel of Romanian heroes in the cemetery of Festelita village of Stefan Voda district on October 23. On October 24, a festivity will be staged at the parcel of Romanian soldiers in the cemetery of Cania, Cantemir, and at the Cemetery of Honor of Romanian soldiers in Tiganca, Cantemir, while on October 25 – at the Cemetery of Heroes in Chisinau.
A group of priests headed by the Metropolitan Bishop of Bessarabia and Archpriest of Chisinau Petru will officiate at a service, which will be followed by laying of flowers at the graves of Romanian soldiers.
The ceremonies held on the occasion of the Armed Forces Day of Romania will involve the Presidential Orchestra, servicemen of the guard and protocol unit of the Ministry of Defense of Moldova and students of education institutions.
The Armed Forces Day of Romania is celebrated annually on October 25.
