Fires claim three lives
Three persons died of carbon monoxide poisoning in fires on Monday, October 19. A 64-year-old man from Terebna village of Edinet district and a man aged 48 from Hiliuti village of Rascani district were killed in fires caused by lit cigarettes, spokesman for the Civil Protection and Emergencies Service Sergiu Barbu has told Info-Prim Neo.
The third fire occurred in Trifesti village of Rezina district. An 84-year-old woman was found dead in a burning room. Presumably, the cause was the reckless use of fire.
The seven fires that happened in Moldova on October 19 resulted in three deaths.
