Fish populations in Dubasari Lake to be restored

Over 20,000 tons of fish larvae will be poured today into the Dubasari impoundment lake to restore fish populations, Info-Prim Neo learned from a press release of the Fishery Service. The larvae include common carp, silver carp and bighead carp. On November 9, a similar re-population effort will take place at the Costesti-Stinca impoundment lake. The re-population efforts are part of a project financed by the National Ecologic Fund. To preserve ichthyofauna diversity, each year the Fishery Service populates natural bodies of water with valuable species of fish, including common carp, silver carp, bighead carp and grass carp.
