Foreign Ministry advises against going to Egypt and Lebanon
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration recommends the Moldovan people to avoid trips to Egypt and Lebanon owing to the protests taking place in these countries, Info-Prim Neo reports.
The recent protests in Tunisia provoked large-scale demonstrations against the dictatorial regime of President Hosni Mubarak in the Egyptian capital Cairo. Hundreds of people in Lebanon took to the streets to vent their anger at the likely nomination of Hezbollah-backed billionaire businessman Najib Mikati to replace outgoing Prime Minister Saad Hariri.
In connection with these protests, the Moldovans who are in Lebanon and Egypt are asked to obey authorities’ recommendations, possible travel restrictions and checks, to avoid crowded places and to submit personal information like the number of the mobile phone and the mail to the Embassy of Moldova in Turkey.
