Former Russian football star refuses to coach Moldova's national squad
The former player of Russia's national football team Serghei Iuran turned down the offer to coach the national squad of Moldova, Info-Prim Neo reports. The coach told the Russian press that he was contacted by the Moldovan Football Federation. “I would like to receive interesting offers from such clubs as Spartak Moscow or CSKA. The offer made by the Moldovan Football Federation did not intrigue me,” said the coach of Lokomotiv Astana.
Moldova's national team will remain officially without coach as the contract with Igor Dobrovolski expires on December 31. According to the president of the Moldovan Football Federation Pavel Cebanu, a new coach will be designated before the draw for the 2012 European Companionship qualifiers that will be held in February next year.
