Four prosecutors appointed to Board of National Justice Institute

Prosecutor General Valeriu Zubco has appointed four members to the Board of the National Justice Institute. The four prosecutors are Igor Serbinov, Deputy Prosecutor General; Iurie Perevoznic, acting head of the Department for Human Rights and Minors; Nicolae Geru, Centru District Prosecutor; and Eduard Masnic, Buiucani Distric Prosecutor, Info-Prim Neo reports. The governing body of the National Justice Institute is composed of 13 members, 4 of whom are appointed by the Prosecutor General upon the recommendation of the Supreme Council of Magistracy. The members are appointed for a 4-year-term and may be reappointed just once. On July 13, the Supreme Council of Magistracy appointed 7 judges to the Institute's Board. Established on 9 November 2007, the National Justice Institute is a public institution created for the introductory training and ongoing professional development of judges, prosecutors and other staff involved in the administration of justice.
