The women in Straseni district can receive free consultancy in order to prevent cervical cancer, the head of the District Medical Assistance Center Andrei Yatsyshin has told Info-Prim Neo. Andrei Yatsyshin said the event is performed in partnership with the National Health Insurance Company and the NGO “Sanatatea Ta” (“Your Health”). “All the women aged between 25 and 60 can benefit from consultancy within this project that is implemented at all the health centers in Straseni district. It is the duty of the medical workers to inform the patients about the consequences of cervical cancer and how it can be prevented,” he stated. Contacted by Info-Prim Neo, gynecologist of the clinic of Lozova village of Straseni district Lidia Ambroci said more than ten women schedule consultations every day. There were discovered four suspect cases. Gynecologist of the health center in Vorniceni, Straseni Tamara Luta stated for the Agency that she detected only one case of cervical cancer during the consultations. “Over ten women come daily for consultation. I’m glad that the people are concerned about their health,” she said. The project will last unit the end of next May.
