Students who study in the 9th, 10th and 11th grades and were born between January 1, 1998 and July 15, 2000 are encouraged to take part in the 2015 – 2016 FLEX, which is US-Government-sponsored exchange program that allows students from Moldova to spend one academic year in the United States, IPN reports.

According to a communiqué of the Ministry of Education, the selected students will live with a host family and will study in an American high school. The winners will be selected at an open contest by an independent US commission consisting of experts in international education and academic exchange.

Under the decision of the Ministry of Education of Moldova, the participants from the ninth grade will repeat the academic year when they return to Moldova.
