The football team Geotermal won the Veterans Supercup on Thursday thanks to a 4-1 victory against Zarea, the winners of the Moldovan Championship's North series. This is the second trophy for Geotermal in the last few days after they won their first champions' title last Sunday. Dacia manager Igor Dobrovolski scored twice for Geotermal, and Oleg Soimu and Marcel Resitca also found the target. The sole goal for the Balti-based team was scored by Leonid Tcaci, Olimpia's manager, who was named alongside Dobrovolski the man of the match. A host of famous football figures played in both teams, including Sergei Dinov, Sergei Rogaciov, Sergei Epureanu and Sergei Stroenco. The awarding ceremony was officiated by Moldovan Football Federation president Pavel Cebanu.
