The policies pursued by the Government will be assessed by civil society. The Cabinet decided to allocate 10 million lei for the purpose, IPN reports. The money will be used to assess and monitor the public policy documents worked out by ministries and state institutions.
“I declared at the start of this year that the Government will also have financial resources that will be allocated to NGOs, civil society, for examining and monitoring the policies implemented by the Executive. Now we identified the possibility of allotting 10 million lei to the State Chancellery that will deal directly with this,” said Prime Minister Pavel Filip.
He noted there will be identified and allocated more funds for the purpose in the future. The mechanism concerning the provision of public policy assessment services will be designed by the State Chancellery.
