Government appoints its representatives to Certification Commission
The Government named its representatives to the Certification Commission working under the Ministry of Justice. These are Corina Cepoi, the head of the School of Advanced Journalism of the Independent Journalism Center, Aurelia Bondari, the executive director of the National Farmers Federation of Moldova AGROinform, and Elena Gritsko, the head of the Noncommercial Organizations Division of the Ministry of Justice, Info-Prim Neo reports.
The Certification Commission checks and certifies the public utility and non-profitability of the public organizations and if they and the legal entities founded by them participate in supporting political parties, electoral blocks and contenders during campaigns for the election of public authorities.
Analyzing the activities carried our by public organizations, the Commission issues them with the state certificate that allows them to be partly or fully exempted from certain taxes and payments and to benefit from concessions.
The Certification Commission is composed of nine members. Three members are named by the President of Moldova, three by the Parliament and three by the Government. Only one of the Government's delegates represents the NGO sector.
The present administration of the Ministry of Justice pleads for a more active involvement of the civil society in decision making and for an efficient partnership with the public organizations and thus proposed including two representatives of the civil society on behalf of the Government in the Commission.
Minister of Justice Alexandru Tanase said the two persons, Corina Cepoi and Aurelia Bondari, are active representatives of the NGO sector, with a rich experience of over 10 years in the field. They participated in the implementation of a number of projects benefiting communities, showing professionalism and devotion.
