Health Ministry suggests acquiring sanitary helicopter

Health Minister Andrei Usatyi suggested a public-private-partnership project in the area of health, which envisions providing emergency medical assistance services, Info-Prim Neo reports. In the February 8 meeting of the National Council for Public-Private Partnership, the minister said that under the project, the health system will be provided with sanitary helicopter. There will be also purchased 108 ambulances and created a common dispatcher’s office – 112. Recently, a five-year-old girl from Leova died after being in coma for five days. The local doctors said the girl could have been saved if a helicopter had been available to take her to Chisinau, where there is modern equipment for examination and treatment. The projects examined by the National Council for Public-Private Partnership will be presented in the next meeting of the Government for approval.
