Heat charge for Chisinau increased by 9.4%

The National Agency for Energy Regulation on February 2 approved new heat charges for end-users at the request of ten suppliers working in different regions of the country. In Chisinau, the tariff on the heat supplied by Termocom rose by 9.4% or 77 lei, to 898 lei per gigacalorie without VAT, Info-Prim Neo reports. Applications to adjust the charges were submitted by SA Termocom, SA Apa-Canal Chisinau, IM Termogaz (Balti), SA Comgaz-Plus (Ungheni), IM Retelele Termice Calarasi, IM Centrale si Retele Termice (Orhei), IM Retelele Termice Cimislia, IM Retelele Termice (Comrat), IM Antermo (Anenii Noi), and IM Retelele Termice Stefan-Voda. All the ten suppliers argued that the natural gas tariffs increased and thus they incur higher costs for maintaining the heat supply networks. The heat supplied by SA Apa-Canal Chisinau will cost 934 lei per gigacalorie, up 185 lei. The charge for the consumers supplied by IM Retelele Termice Cimislia was raised by 68.1% or 580 lei per gigacalorie, to 1,438 lei without VAT. In the other regions of the country, except Chisinau, the charge increased by 19-50% and will oscillate between 1,047 lei (Termogaz Balti) and 1,505 (Retelele Termice Calarasi) per gigacalorie. The new charges will take effect after they are published in the Official Gazette of Moldova.
