The 2017-2018 heating season began for education institutions and hospitals of Chisinau municipality. An order to this effect was signed by the acting mayor of Chisinau Nistor Grozavu on October 6. He also ordered to allow opening the heating season for the housing sector, at the request of dwellers, IPN reports.
In the October 9 meeting of officials of Chisinau services and divisions, Nistor Grozavu asked that the kindergartens and children’s hospitals should be connected to the heating system the first. “This is a top priority now, especially in the case of building with walls of reinforced concrete as these walls are very cold and the electrical heaters do not help,” he stated.
Head of the General Public Amenities Division Petru Gontea said that permits to connect the blocks to the heating system were issued for 80% of the apartment buildings. The internal engineering systems were over 98% cleaned and washed. The housing sector can start to be supplied with heat at any time.
According to the heat supplier Termoelectrica, four hospitals, four apartment buildings, 11 private homes, a school, a university and 14 business entities have been connected to the heat supply so far. For apartment buildings to be connected to the heating system, the block manager must submit a relevant application to the local head office of the heat supplier.
