SA Termocom has announced that 33 of the 99 Chisinau apartment buildings whose heating systems were in need of repair at the end of the 2012/2013 heating season still experience technical faults. If the faults are not removed, they will not be connected to the heat supply the coming heating season.
According to a communiqué of the Chisinau public heat utility, the faults include the blocking of pipes, direct connections, modifications made to the heating system and hydraulic deficiencies, IPN reports.
The managers of the apartment buildings with technical glitches were issued with prescriptions for liquidating them by the start of the heating season. The managers and dwellers of 21 apartment buildings refused to solve the technical problems and confirmed their refusal by official reports. Thus, they assumed responsibility for such possible consequences as overheating of some of the apartments and the absence of the desired level of thermal comfort.
The technical faults haven’t yet been removed in 12 apartment buildings. The administration of SA Termocom calls on the managers and dwellers to become involved in remedying the situation.
