Heavy fines for disorder since February 25
Officials of the Chisinau City Hall announced that heavy fines for disorder will start being used from February 26. They called on the Chisinau economic entities and sanitation services to clean the adjoining areas, courts and steers. The coming days, the Mayor of Chisinau Dorin Chirtoaca will issue an ordinance to hold a monthly sanitation campaign that is usually organized before Easter, Info-Prim Neo reports.

“Though the riverbed of the Byk is cleared of garbage several times a year, it is always full of waste,” said Dorin Chirtoaca. “I think we must closer monitor how the people keep order and fine those who litter the public places.”
Vlad Cotet said an examination commission composed of representatives of district heads' offices, police and sanitary and ecological services will start work on February 25. It will fine those who do not maintain order on the adjoining areas.
