A man aged 26 without a permanent place of residence was stabbed to death in the courtyard of a building situated on Traian St in Botanica district of Chisinau in the evening of August 25. The police arrested a suspect, IPN reports.

According to the Chisinau Police Division, it was established that a homeless 42-year-old man with a criminal record fatally stabbed the younger man after a drinking bout. During the quarrel, the individual also stabbed another drinking companion, who was hospitalized.

The suspect was handcuffed and escorted to the police inspectorate for questioning. He was arrested for 72 hours and faces 10 to 15 years behind bars for premeditated murder.
