Prime Minister Chiril Gaburici had a meeting with the anticorruption experts Giorgi Arveladze, former minister of economy and head of the administration of the President of Georgia, and Giorgi Tskhakaia, ex-minister of justice of Georgia. These are the first anticorruption experts invited by the Premier to assess the situation in Moldova, IPN reports.
According to the Government’s press service, the experts presented the results of their analysis, especially the appraisal of the corruption risks. There were examined the main causes that led to a rise in the corruption perception index and the diminution of people’s confidence in state institutions. The experts formulated a series of recommendations for remedying the situation. The Prime Minister said he will act openly and transparently in this process and will broadly consult his initiatives with civil society.
The interlocutors also discussed the measures that would be opportune in Moldova and agreed to ensure further cooperation between the representatives of the competent institutions of Moldova and experts from abroad, including in achieving the Moldovan Government’s top priorities such as national unity, rule of law and sustainable economy.
