A number of kiosks located on Dacia Blvd., Mircea cel Batran Blvd., Alecu Russo St, Mircea cel Batran Blvd., and Igor Vieru St in Botanica and Ciocana districts of Chisinau will be taken down during the next two days. The given kiosks occupy an area of about 50 square meters each and had been built illegally. Their owners have not been identified, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting a communique from the Chisinau City Hall. The demolition works are carried out by the Chisinau Emergencies Division. The construction materials will be stored up at the local municipal housing services company. Mayor of Chisinau Dorin Chirtoaca said other retail units placed illegally will be removed in parallel. A stand situated on Traian Blvd. in Botanica was taken down on March 3. Earlier this week, the mayor signed an ordinance banning the placement of new kiosks in Chisinau.
