The Land Relations and Cadaster Agency will join the International Federation of Surveyors (FIG), an international nongovernmental organization with specialized agencies in over 130 countries, Info-Prim Neo reports. According to the info note accompanying the decision adopted by the Government, joining this organization will allow Moldova to benefit from an efficient exchange of experience and information with similar organizations from FIG member countries. Besides, the Agency will intensify cooperation with the UN and other international and regional agencies regarding the development and implementation of policies in the field, the promotion of the role of geodetics, cartography and cadaster, as well as the training of specialists. The annual membership fee the Cadaster Agency must pay in 2012 is €380,000.
