Lozova hosts again “Bostaniada” Festival

The fourth Ethnic-Gastronomic Festival “Bostaniada” (Pumpkin Festival) will take place again in Lozova village of Straseni district on September 19-20. Ticket prices vary between 25 and 85 lei and the organizers said the proceeds will go to light the local stadium, IPN reports.

The festival starts at 12 noon and tickets are available from the box offices of the National Palace “Nicolae Sulac” or directly on the spot, during the event. A ticket for a day costs 50 lei, while for two days – 85 lei. The residents of Lozova will pay 25 lei and 50 lei respectively. Entrance for children younger than 12 and persons with disabilities is free of charge.

The event takes place on the stadium of Lozova. On the first day, after the official opening of the festival, residents of Lozova will stage a concert. Afterward, a performance will be given by Ludmila Balan, followed by a draw and Cinderella’s Ball.

Performances on the first day will be also given by Taramis Band, Viorel Burlacu, Vitalie Dani, Igor Cuciuc, Natan and Alexandru Vdovicenco Band. There will be also held the Bostaniada Parade, the heaviest pumpkin contest, an exhibition of jack-o'-lanterns and a village bonfire in the evening.

The concert on the second day of the festival will involve singers Marcel and Cornelia Stefanet, Fuego, Nona Marian, the Osoianu Sisters, Adriana Ochisanu and El Radu and the dancers from the Black and White. Contests will be held again.

The festival’s program also includes different recreational activities for children and grownups, a fair of agricultural products and a fair of delicious food made from pumpkins. A camping area was prepared for
those who want to pitch tents.
