Man dies from carbon dioxide poisoning in his cellar

A man aged 58 from Harbovat village of Anenii district died after poisoning himself with carbon dioxide in his cellar. The man went to the cellar to bring wine that was fermenting there, IPN reports.

According to the Civil Protection and Emergencies Service, the man was found by his daughter, who took him out, but he was already dead. When the wine is fermenting, it is not recommended entering the cellars if there is no appropriate ventilation.

Three persons have died from carbon dioxide poisoning in wine cellars this autumn. Another three persons were saved.
