A resident of Floresti district aged 28 was sentenced to life imprisonment for murdering four persons. It happened in Gura-Camencii village in November 2013, IPN reports.

According to the Prosecutor’s Office of Floresti district, the young man just returned from Ukraine, where he had worked for a period. After drinking alcohol at the place of one of the victims, a quarrel arose between the young man and four villagers, who included a woman. The aggressor took a kitchen knife and stabbed all of them, putting them down with an ax. Afterward, he set the house on fire and ran away.

The Floresti District Court fully satisfied the prosecutors’ request, sentencing the man to life for deliberate murder and destruction of property. The sentence is not yet definitive.
