A 65-year-old man from Gura Galbenei village of Hancesti district burned to death in his house last night. The firefighters were called by neighbors, who saw the flames at about 3am, IPN reports.
Press officer of the Civil Protection and Emergencies Service Diana Turcan said that two firefighting teams struggled to contain the blaze for about two hours. The strong wind hampered their efforts. The fire destroyed 72 square meters of the roof and objects inside the home.
The body of the man was found in the house after the fire was extinguished. Employees of the Civil Protection and Emergencies Service will examine the scene to find out the cause of fire. Firefighters warn to obey the anti-fire rules so as to avoid emergencies with fatal consequences.
