Matasaru's case sent to court

The case of Anatol Matasaru, prosecuted for alleged involvement in the April 7 unrest, was sent to court on Friday, Info-Prim Neo reports. Matasaru is charged with active participation in committing violence, with arson and damage of property during mass unrest, with call to disobedience, with violence against persons and threats to cause bodily harm, the prosecutors say. Matasaru, who is famous for his showy displays of protest against the Communist government, was first arrested on April 8. An appellate court released Matasaru from remand sentencing him to house arrest. He was recently arrested again by Orhei police, on suspicion of assaulting and robbing someone two years ago.
