The municipal local military centers send letters to business entities and public institutions, asking these to furnish information about the recruits and reservists working under their direction and the list of the owned facilities, equipment and other resources that can be requisitioned. The Ministry of Defense said the given measure is taken in accordance with the legal provisions and in order to update the database of the local military centers, IPN reports.

The institution describes the reports about the mobilization of reservists, recruiting of young people to do their military service and receiving of call-up papers by citizens, which are disseminated through social media, as disinformation.

“We note that the measure is taken daily and permanently and bears no relation to the security situation in the region. The Ministry of Defense calls on the business entities, public institutions and citizens not to speculate on the given subject,” it is said in a press release of the Ministry.
