Two brothers from Hancesti were sentenced to five years’ imprisonment each for raping a 17-year-old girl, IPN reports.

According to a communiqué from the Prosecutor General’s Office, in March 2012, being under the influence of alcohol, the two brothers, together with a friend of theirs, convinced the victim to go with them to their place. Profiting from her inability to protect herself, they raped the girl there, by physical and mental constraints.

Immediately after the incident, the victim called the police. The brothers aged 19 and 21 were arrested. The third young man was put on the wanted list as he fled the country.
