Mircea Roșioru elected head of Prosecutors' Inspectorate

Former deputy prosecutor general Mircea Rosioru was appointed chief inspector of the Prosecutors’ Inspectorate. A decision to this effect was adopted by the Superior Council of Prosecutors, which on Thursday conducted the interview test within the selection competition, IPN reports.

Mircea Rosioru accumulated a final score of 8.7, while his opponent Artur Reguș accumulated 7.9.

Mircea Rosioru started his career in the prosecution service in 200 and held several positions since then. From 2010 to 2013, he served as president of the Qualification College under the Superior Council of Prosecutors. In 2014, he was elected chairman of the Superior Council of Prosecutors. He also served as deputy prosecutor general.
