“Moldagrotech” exhibition cancelled due to COVID-19

The spring edition of the international exhibition “Moldagrotech”, which was set for March 17 – 20, was cancelled because of the worsening of the epidemiological situation in the country, IPN reports, quoting the Ministry of Agriculture, Regional Development and Environment.

“It’s a pity to take such a decision, but the health and life of people is much more important than any public event,” stated Minister Ion Perju.

Another date for the event hasn’t been set. The 39th edition of the exhibition of machinery, equipment and technology for the agro-industrial sector “Moldafroteh” was to take place in the open-air space of a shopping center in Chisinau during March 17-20.

Over 1,700 new cases of COVID-19 and 33 dissociated deaths were reported in Moldova on March 10. Of the 337 patents who are in hospitals in a serious state, 68 were put on a ventilator. Moldova so far has got over 198,000 infections with the novel coronavirus.
