Driving licenses issued in the Republic of Moldova and the United Arab Emirates will be mutually recognized. Moldova’s Cabinet on Wednesday approved the initiation of negotiations on a memorandum in this regard, IPN reports.

The document will simplify the process of recognising and converting driving licences. Thus, administrative formalities will be reduced, and procedures for Moldovan citizens in the United Arab Emirates will be accelerated.

The Republic of Moldova has also signed treaties on mutual recognition of driving licenses with Israel, Turkey, Albania, Spain, Lithuania, France, the Hellenic Republic, and also a declaration on the transcription of driving licenses with Germany.
