A number of 66 new cases of infection with COVID-19 were confirmed in Moldova on April 21. One of them was imported, while 65 are local transmission cases, Minister of Health, Labor and Social Protection Viorica Dumbrăveanu stated after the meeting of the Single Command Center that manages the crisis caused by COVID-19, IPN reports.

According to the minister, most of the new cases were recorded in Chisinau, Căușeni and the Transnistrian region. As many as 241 samples were tested for the virus during the last 24 hours.

The number of infections with the novel coronavirus ion Moldova now stands at 2,614. As many as 505 infected persons got cured, while 72 died.
